RICTOR RIOLO
Film and video have always been my core storytelling tools. For over a decade, I’ve created content on YouTube. From scripting and filming to lighting, editing, to distribution. I reinforced that experience by earning a Video Production Certificate (with honors) from Portland Community College, a Bachelor's Degree in Film at Portland State University, and a Master's Degree in Learning Design and Technology from Western Oregon University. I even stepped in front of the camera as a cast member on The Ten Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty (Paramount/Spike TV), a reality series that taught me more about production energy than any classroom ever could.
But my storytelling doesn’t end with media, it extends into education. As an emergency English Language Development (ELD) teacher in the Gresham-Barlow School District, I helped multilingual middle school students reach the district’s highest ELPA pass rate: 11 out of 26 students who passed were mine, making up 40% of the district total. I’ve since taught at both middle and high school levels while pursuing advanced training in instructional design.
Everything I do is equity-driven with course design, digital accessibility, with multimedia learning strategies. Now, I’m on a mission to blend media, tech, and education into inclusive, high-impact learning experiences. I believe design can be a force for equity, and I’m here to show the way.
